En ausencia de Juego de tronos, la gran dominadora en las últimas ediciones de los Emmy -no en vano es la serie más galardonada en la historia de los premios que cada año entrega la Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión con 38 estatuillas- su lugar lo ha ocupado Westworld, otra serie de HBO, que parte como gran favorita con 22 nominaciones.
Empatado a nominaciones con la serie de Jonathan Nolan está el clásico programa de humor Saturday Night Live. Les siguen, en número de candidaturas, Stranger Things y la miniserie FEUD: Bette and Joan, ambas con 18 nominaciones, y la comedia Veep que opta a un total de 17 premios.
En cuanto a los canales y plataformas, HBO (con un total de 110 nominaciones) también se impone a Netflix (91) y a la cadena NBC (60). Los actores Anna Chlumsky (Veep) y Shemar Moore (S.W.A.T.) fueron los encargados de leer el listado de nominados.
La 69ª edición de los premios Emmy, los grandes galardones del mundo de la televisión, se celebrará próximo 17 de septiembre y estará presentada por Stephen Colbert.
