Lower Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park | April 1979 & May 2015 Excerpt from my grandmother's travel journal on April 21st, 1979: "Yosemite Falls again, but from the south side drive, it shows the Upper Fall foaming into a big bowl of snow! Walked onto the brown wooden bridge over the crystal-clear shallow river with pussy willow bushes, mirrored in the water." #pastpresentproject -

Box Canyon in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington | June 1981 & June 2016 Excerpt from my grandmother's travel journal on June 3rd, 1981: "Going into misty clouds -- the viewpoint for Mt. Rainier was enveloped in it. The next point 'Box Canyon' -- mossy green walls deep down to ground somewhere. It drizzled, then sun peeking out now & then. From the stone bridge a fantastic view both ways into a 'klamm' (gorge), very deep and narrow with wild rushing water pressed between the narrow walls of a dark slit." #pastpresentproject - -

Theodore Roosevelt National Park near Medora, North Dakota | 1973 & 2016 Its interesting to note that during my grandparent's visit, the scenic land was established as the Theodore Roosevelt National Memorial Park. It wasn't until 1978 that the park received National Park status. #pastpresentproject - -

The Roost Resort in Custer, South Dakota | May 2002 & June 2016 Excerpt from my grandmother's travel journal on May 16th, 2002: "Went to info at Visitor Center, got three addresses of cabins in or near town, took the 2nd we looked at -- "The Roost". Got a beautiful cabin with all the luxuries to think of and settled in. What most impressed me was the sparkling clean-ness of everything -- wood floors, Navajo carpets, dark green marble polished, carved-back chairs, a futon sofa in the living room -- a modern home that has no better!" #pastpresentproject - -

Lombard Street in San Francisco, California | April 1979 & May 2016 Excerpt from my grandmother's travel journal on April 27th, 1979: "Took the cable car back to the wharf, tripped down the 'crookedest street' on foot, picked up the car, and went on a sightseeing drive up Mason Street. Must have picked the steepest up and down road in the city -- my heart got stuck in my mouth and I felt like jumping out of the car for fear of rolling backwards! #pastpresentproject - -

Exciting news! I will be headed out on a two month road trip all across the United States this coming May & June. While the primary focus will be to complete most of the remaining photos I have for the @PastPresentProject, I will also be writing for my travel blog (Say Hello To America) and taking loads of awesome photographs around this beautiful country. I do have arrangements for lodging in many of the destinations on my itinerary already, but if you (or friends and family) would like to host a road-weary traveler, I would be forever grateful! Thank you to everyone who has supported my travels up until now, I hope you continue to follow this next adventure! #pastpresentproject Here is the list of cities I will be in. Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming | June 1997 & September 2015 Excerpt from my grandmother's travel journal on June 6th, 1997: "First glimpse of the whole panorama of the mountains, snow down nearly to lake level. Looking for a shot towards Mount Moran, the Grand, and South Teton. Still looking for the ideal shot! Finally found it at an overlook above the flooded brown Snake River." #pastpresentproject -
