En las últimas semanas, los usuarios de Facebook han estado siguiendo una cadena en la que exponían cuáles son sus 10 libros favoritos. El equipo de ciencia de datos de la red social ha recopilado todos los post de los usuarios y ha elaborado una lista con los 100 libros que más gustan a los usuarios de Facebook.
Para ello, el equipo de Facebook ha recopilado cerca de 130.000 entradas en la red social con el texto "10 books" o "ten books" en las dos últimas semanas de agosto con la ayuda de un algoritmo, aunque la cadena ha estado activa "por lo menos" un año.
Aparte de descubrir que los títulos favoritos de los usuarios son los correspondientes a las saga de Harry Potter o Matar a un ruiseñor, también se ha sabido que han sido más mujeres que hombres quienes se animan a compartir sus gustos literarios. Concretamente, por cada hombre que hacía pública su lista, 3,1 mujeres ya lo habían hecho antes. Además, la edad media de participación está en los 37 años y los países donde más se ha seguido la cadena ha sido en Estados Unidos (63,7 por ciento), la India (9,3 por ciento) y Reino Unido (6,3 por ciento).
El 'top 20' de los libros favoritos en Facebook está encabezado por la saga Harry Potter, Matar a un ruiseñor, El Señor de los Anillos, El Hobbit, Orgullo y prejuicio, y La Biblia, ¿pero cuáles son los tuyos?
