Y donde dije digo, digo Diego. Eso es precisamente lo que le ha pasado a Lena Dunham que el martes incendió la red con una fotografía en la que acusaba a 'El País' de haber retocado su fotografía y de engañar a sus lectores. Sin embargo, le ha tocado dar marcha atrás y admitir que había sido un error.
Instagram fue la vía que usó la actriz para protestar y también para retractarse. Ha pasado de escribir "mi cuerpo NUNCA ha tenido ese aspecto y nunca lo tendrá - habéis utilizado más photoshop del habitual" a "es raro ver una foto y no estar segura de si ese cuerpo es tuyo (estoy bastante segura de que mis muslos no tendrán nunca esa anchura, pero, sinceramente, no sé exactamente dónde me han quitado volumen y dónde no). No estoy culpando a nadie (salvo a la sociedad en general, ya sabéis)".
Hey Tentaciones- thank you for sending the uncropped image (note to the confused: not unretouched, uncropped!) and for being so good natured about my request for accuracy. I understand that a whole bunch of people approved this photo before it got to you- and why wouldn't they? I look great. But it's a weird feeling to see a photo and not know if it's your own body anymore (and I'm pretty sure that will never be my thigh width but I honestly can't tell what's been slimmed and what hasn't.) I'm not blaming anyone (y'know, except society at large.) I have a long and complicated history with retouching. I wanna live in this wild world and play the game and get my work seen, and I also want to be honest about who I am and what I stand for. Maybe it's turning 30. Maybe it's seeing my candidate of choice get bashed as much for having a normal woman's body as she is for her policies. Maybe it's getting sick and realizing ALL that matters is that this body work, not that it be milky white and slim. But I want something different now. Thanks for helping me figure that out and sorry to make you the problem, you cool Spanish magazine you. Time to get to the bottom of this in a bigger way. Time to walk the talk. Con el revuelo que se montó -no dudó en acusarles de no ser honestos con los lectores- y con la réplica de 'El País' en la que señalaron que adquirieron "esa fotografía a través de la agencia Corbis" y utilizaron "el original" que les enviaron "sin aplicarle ningún tipo de retoque", parecía que el asunto estaba zanjado, pero a Lena le ha sabido a poco, por eso ayer quiso disculparse a la vez que insistió en seguía sin sentirse identificada con la imagen que tomó Ruven Afanador.
Eso sí, no hay mal que por bien no venga. Desde la revista, y como escribieron en la carta que publicaron a las pocas horas de que la actriz compartiera su queja en Instagram, le regalaron sus suscripción y Lena ha aceptado el detalle. "¡Estaría encantada de recibir Tentaciones todos los meses!", dijo.
