-- The Eurofighter Consortium and Terma A/S Have Signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, Aiming to Pursue Areas of Mutual Interest
The background for the agreement is deliberations by the Danish government on which aircraft to select for the replacement of the F-16 during the coming years. The Eurofighter is among the three candidates for the replacement. A final decision is expected within the next 2-3 years. With this MoU, Terma and the Eurofighter Consortium are in a good position to pursue the industrial possibilities together in the event that the Eurofighter is selected.
Terma, as the leading Defence and Aerospace Company in Denmark, has unique knowledge and experience in the design and production of aircraft structural parts, military electronics and control and integration of electronic warfare systems for all types of military aircraft.
The Eurofighter Consortium is the lead manufacturer in Europe of fighter aircraft, with great expertise in aircraft design and production, international co-operation, and with customers in several countries. This MoU between the Eurofighter Consortium and Terma forms a good basis to bring together the expertise of the two parties resulting in good value for potential customers and also to sound and profitable business relations between the parties.

Eurofighter Typhoon:
Eurofighter Typhoon is an advanced swing-role combat aircraft, developed and produced by the leading aerospace companies, Alenia Aeronautica, BAE SYSTEMS, EADS in Germany and EADS CASA, of the four partner countries, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany and Spain.
The Eurofighter partner nations have orders for 620 aircraft: 180 for Germany, 121 for Italy, 87 for Spain and 232 for the United Kingdom. An additional export order of 18 Eurofighter Typhoon has been signed with the Government of Austria.
Eurofighter Typhoon has the largest confirmed production contract order book of any next generation fighter aircraft.
Terma:
Terma develops products and systems for a number of civilian and military applications. Terma's business areas encompass Radar Systems, Command and Control Systems, self-protection systems for aircraft, systems for tactical reconnaissance, Air Traffic Management Systems, systems for Space applications, and development of structural parts for the aircraft industry.
