Masada Partners With Entrepreneur Robert H. J. Lee to Lead Green Energy Initiatives in China, Asia

NEW YORK, October 5 /PRNewswire/ --

US-based Masada Resource Group announced today in New York that the company has partnered with international entrepreneur and California-based business icon Robert H. J. Lee to lead green energy initiatives in China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Ghana, South Korea, Denmark and France by building and operating hundreds of Masada municipal solid waste-to-ethanol production facilities in these countries.

Masada, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, has been the world's leading provider of municipal solid waste-to-ethanol technology for the past 14 years.

China alone generates enough household garbage to supply 690 Masada-type waste-to-ethanol facilities with the feedstock needed to produce billions of gallons of fuel-grade ethanol annually for the country.

Best know for his invention of power saving technologies for handheld devices and notebook computers, Robert H. J. Lee has served as the chairman of the board of directors of BBV Vietnam S E A Acquistion Corporation-Bearer Shs in Hanoi, Vietnam since September 2007 and is a managing partner of Bantry Bay Ventures-Asia, LLC. Lee is also a director of Bantry Bay Ventures-Asia, LLC's Chinese investment, Taiyue Coal Trading and Transportation, Inc.

Lee served as the chief executive officer of TeleWeb, Inc., which was one of the first outsourcing call centers in China. He is a former managing director of 2M Invest, a Danish venture capital firm. Lee founded and served as chairman, chief executive officer and president of i-Planet Inc., which developed internet server technologies.

Lee founded PicoPower Technology in 1991 and served as the company's CEO for three years. During his tenure at PicoPower, Lee's invention of power-saving technologies for handheld devices and notebook computers turned PicoPower into a US$100 million revenue company in 4 years and gave the company a 90% + share of worldwide notebook computer chipset market.

"This is a historic moment for China, Asia and the rest of the world," said Lee.

"This partnership allows us to safely dispose of the Asia's municipal solid waste in a smart way and produce billions of gallons of clean burning fuel-grade ethanol in the process."

Masada developed its internationally patented CES OxyNol waste-to-ethanol process by building upon the cellulosic ethanol processes developed by the Germans during World War II.

With the Masada-Lee partnership, Masada will have waste-to-ethanol facilities in various stages of development in three different countries and exclusive national licensing agreements in twelve additional countries.

"We are excited to have Robert H. J. Lee as our leader in China and Asia," said Donald V. Watkins, Masada's chief executive officer. "He has broad international business experience and a clear vision of how to turn Asia's waste streams into clean, renewable fuels. We are extremely proud of this partnership."
