VIENNA, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- During UEFA EURO 2008(TM) the City of Vienna offers a special media service for journalists and a media information hotline at +43-1-955-22. The online service provides important addresses, background material and media reports, royalty-free photos and information on media events and film permits. The media service and the information hotline are available in German and English and can be reached via the portal http://www.euro2008.wien.at.

The media information portal of the City of Vienna offers comprehensive background information on various aspects of Vienna (e.g. history, large-scale events, green Vienna, etc.). The photo gallery contains a large number of photographs that are free to use. The media events calendar provides up-to-date information on the most important media events related to UEFA EURO 2008(TM). You can also subscribe to an RSS feed of press releases of the City of Vienna or view previous press releases and reports online.

The media service also provides an overview of all media centres during UEFA EURO 2008(TM) in Vienna and all necessary contact information. Journalists can also download summarised facts about UEFA EURO 2008(TM) in Vienna. Free registration is required to use the media service.

All relevant information for journalists is also available through the media information hotline at +43-1-955-22. The hotline is available daily until 5 June from 9am to 8pm, and between 6 June and 30 it is staffed 24 hours a day.
